Cell phones while useful have become a major source of distraction to students in the learning environment. It also hinders their ability to socialize with their peers as everyone is preoccupied with their phone. Cell phones are one of the root causes of many disturbances on the compound as they are left carelessly lying around and used for mischief via social media apps. We are strongly urging parents to monitor their child's use of their cell phone and dissuade them from forming any group chats.
Please see the student cell phone policy of Tranquillity Secondary School as outlined below:
No cell phone must be on during the hours of 7:50am - 2:20pm (inclusive of lunch and break)
Cell phones are not to be charged on the school's compound (inclusive of lunch and break)
No cell phone accessories (e.g. earbuds, chargers, Bluetooth speakers) of any kind are to be used during the hours of 7:50am — 2:20pm (inclusive of lunch and breaks)
