Vision Statement

Through efficacious instruction delivered by caring and aware educators, Tranquillity shall evolve into a professional learner community producing holistically developed citizens ready to take their place as critical thinking, discerning, community-minded and positively active participants in a modern society.

MISSION STATEMENT

Tranquillity Secondary School shall ensure its students quality secondary education in a variety of academic and practical subject areas using the advantage of the various modes of assessment and teaching strategies through the guidance of professional staff, working cooperatively with the wider community.

Sports Houses

Tranquillity Secondary School has produced many famous athletes over the years. We have chosen to name our six houses after six of these athletes.

The blue house is called Bravo. This house is named after the famous cricketer named Dwane Bravo.

The orange house is called Ahye. This house is named after the famous runner named Michellle Ahye.

The green house is called Ashby. This house is also named after a famous runner named Fana Ashby.

The purple house is called Latapy. This house is named after the famous footballer named Russel Latapy.

The yellow house is called Pollard. This house is named after another famous cricketer named Kieron Pollard.

The red house is called Lee. This house is named after another famous footballer deceased named Marvin lee.

Mr. & Ms. Tranquillity Competition

Tranquillity Secondary School is a reputable educational institution in Trinidad and Tobago which has produced several icons and leaders since its establishment.

In light of this, a group of teachers in the School decided to host events which would serve to build self-esteem and foster school spirit. One of these events was the “Mr. & Ms. Tranquil Pageant.”

The purpose of the event is to enlighten and sensitize the students and staff of the greatness that this school produces and to encourage and empower the present students to open their minds, build self esteem and understand that they too can achieve greatness.
