School regulations and entry protocol for students
All health and safety protocols in accordance to the Ministry of Health must be observed.
Students are required to be on the compound in full uniform along with an appropriate face mask.
Although Masks are no longer mandatory, the School suggests that masks be worn while on the school compound especially in Classrooms and Specialty areas. Students should also use hand sanitizer /wash hands frequently through the day.
Arrival time for students should be before 7:50 am so that they can attend Morning Assembly and departure time will be after the last class ends at 2:20 pm. Please note that for everyone’s safety, it is absolutely mandatory to adhere to these times.
Upon entry onto the school’s compound, non-contact temperature testing will be administered to all students. Once a high temperature reading is recorded, the student will be placed in a shaded area and re-tested. If after two consecutive readings their temperature is above 37.5 degrees Celsius or 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit, parents/guardians will be immediately contacted; students will be placed in the designated quarantine area to await the PROMPT arrival of parents/guardians.
Students who display flu-like symptoms while on the compound will be placed in a designated quarantine area. Parents/guardians and the Education District Medical Team will be contacted immediately. Parents/guardians must collect their child/ward PROMPTLY. Students will only be permitted to return on the compound once a certificate of medical clearance is produced by their parent/guardian.
Students must wash their hands upon entering the compound at the designated sanitation stations located at the front of the school.
While hand soap will be provided at sanitation stations, parents must equip their child/ward with their own supply of hand sanitizer or soap to facilitate their personal sanitation practices while on the compound and should be sufficient to last the entire day. Please replenish your child/ward's supply before the next School day.
Due to safety protocols outlined by the Ministry of Education in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, rags or towels will not be allowed. Students are advised to walk with disposal tissues / paper towels.
Students must wash their hands before entering all labs or classrooms.
Students must adhere to the social distancing seating arrangements.
Sharing of items among students is absolutely prohibited.
Loitering is strictly prohibited on the compound.
Limited cafeteria facilities will be available to students.
Limited library access to resources will be available to students.
Parents/guardians are not allowed to drive onto the school’s compound. Students must be dropped off and picked up at the school’s gate.
Students must adhere to ALL school rules. Failure to comply will lead to disciplinary action
We ask that all stakeholders adhere to safety protocols as we navigate through this new term in order to ensure that our students’ needs are adequately met.
